| This was part of an activity that was designed to demonstrate voice. We found a partner and each partner drew three pictures of events in their lives. We traded pictures and wrote "reunion biographies." This exercise made me realize how difficult voice is to define and measure. In the paragraph that I wrote, I was not able to establish a distint voice and show creativity. |

| This is a picture of how I would try to teach voice to students. The students would read a book in the content area, chose a character from that book, and write them a letter. Voice would be the main objective of this assignment so revisions would be centered around expressing creativity and word choice unique to the student. |
